MONTVALE, N.J. — A&P here on Wednesday said it has launched a new service offering club card holders from its various store banners the opportunity to earn grocery discounts by shopping at more than 1,000 on-line retailers.
Shoppers who register for the A&P Rewards Online Mall, accessible through the websites of A&P's store banners, will receive 3% back on the purchase price of items they buy through partner on-line retailers including eBay, BestBuy.com, The Home Depot, Macy's, Borders.com, Staples and 1-800-Flowers.com. The amount goes into an account good for reward certificates applicable to their grocery orders at A&P's stores.
"So many of our customers regularly make purchases online, so we thought it would be great to reward them for the items they are already buying," Jennifer MacLeod, senior vice president, marketing and communications for A&P, said in a statement. "This is just one more way we can help our customers save money at the supermarket."
