Acosta Mosaic Group (AMG), which provides integrated marketing solutions for manufacturers and retailers has announced today that it is consolidating its shopper agency in the U.S. with Hunter Straker in Canada, a full service retail agency focused on driving purchase, to form Hunter Straker North America – the first and only Purchase Design agency in North America. AMG acquired Hunter Straker Canada in October 2012, bolstering the company’s best-in-class retail services to include Purchase Design – its key offering that connects shopper behavior to sales growth. “The addition of Hunter Straker’s capabilities to the suite of services AMG’s shopper agency has built, positions us as the only agency in North America that meets clients’ business challenges with this unique, differentiated offering,” says Aidan Tracey, president of Acosta Mosaic Group. Hunter Straker applies its proprietary methodology, Deconstruction, to distill clients’ business challenges through immersion in consumer, shopper and retailer behaviors at the channel, category and brand levels. Deconstruction gets to the core of the business issue and barriers to purchase by combining insights and observations with what the shopper sees and does in the retail environment. “We produce the right message, at the right time and in the right place, to overcome barriers and influence purchase,” says Chad Grenier, executive vice president retail marketing services, AMG, leading Hunter Straker North America. “In addition, through our relationship with Acosta’s comprehensive sales and marketing network, we deliver programs that are scalable and doable at retail, at scale, or in a localized manner.” Soche Picard, general manager, who has been instrumental to the growth and success of AMG’s shopper agency for the past three years, will lead the Hunter Straker team in the U.S. The Canadian operation will continue to be led by Matthew Diamond, vice president, and James Fraser, vice president, strategic planning.
