Acosta Names New President and CEO

Steve Matthesen has been named president and CEO of Acosta, succeeding Robert Hill who is becoming vice chair of the board of directors.

Acosta has named Steve Matthesen president and chief executive officer, succeeding Robert Hill, who will become vice chair of the board of directors, effective September 6. Matthesen joins Acosta from The Nielsen Company, where he most recently served as president of Global Retail.

Prior to joining Nielsen, Matthesen was a partner at The Boston Consulting Group where he collaborated with leading CPG companies to develop and execute growth strategies. He also served in the U.S. Air Force at the Space and Missile Systems Center. He has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in computer engineering from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science from Duke University.

Based in Jacksonville, Fla., Acosta is a national full-service sales and marketing agency in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
