NEW YORK — D’Agostino’s Supermarkets is planning to launch its first radio ad campaign in 10 years this Wednesday with humorous spots that call attention to sharp pricing on certain items.
The “Managers Gone Wild” campaign, which will also appear in print, features real department managers from the 18-store chain boasting about how they have “gone wild” with price cuts.
“I am selling 2-liter bottles of coke for 59 cents! I have never done anything like this before!” says one. “I haven’t done anything this wild since college!” says another. A voiceover explains that shoppers can get up to 75% off using their D’Ag Card and directs them to the company’s website at dagnyc.com for more information.
The promotion ends Oct. 13.
