SALISBURY, N.C. — Food Lion’s seven private-label brands are in the spotlight online as the retailer promotes them with a game, sweepstakes and $5 in coupons on its website.
Shoppers can enter the “Private Brand Stock Your Pantry” online promotion through August 6 for a chance to win up to $200 in Food Lion private-label products.
“You could stock your pantry with all the quality and value of Food Lion private brands,” Food Lion writes in promotional materials.
All entrants must provide their name, address, email and loyalty card number. Six winners will be chosen at random.
Separately, the retailer is offering four online private-label coupons: $1 off a box of Food Lion cereal; $1 off a “Home 360” general merchandise purchase; $1 off a Healthy Accents health and beauty care item; and $2 off a 12-pack of Food Lion green tea.
Meanwhile, Food Lion is encouraging shoppers to play its “Grilling Game” for a chance to win $1 off any two packages of Home 360 party cups or plates. The “Grilling Game” is the latest installment in a series of online games at foodlion.com aimed at encouraging interaction with Food Lion’s private labels as well as national brands. Players use their computer mouse to “throw” hamburgers into buns. Those who collect enough points can download the coupon.
