NEW YORK — Gristedes here is relaunching its Diamond Value Club loyalty card after letting the discount program lapse.
The program is being promoted in the supermarket chain’s stores with window signs and in-store notices at checkout telling consumers to watch for specially marked discounts. “We just started a big push to promote it to customers,” Charles Criscuolo, senior executive vice president, told SN on Friday.
He said the chain recently negotiated some lower prices with suppliers that will be passed on to customers through the rejuvenated Diamond Value Club effort.
