SCARBOROUGH, Maine — Hannaford Bros., owned by Delhaize America, continues to offer gifts for shoppers to register at its redesigned website.

All those who register at Hannaford.com are automatically entered into a sweepstakes for a free leather shopping folio or an apple iPod Touch.

The sweepstakes followed another promotion in which all those who signed up by June 13 could win a year’s worth of free groceries or one of 10 $100 gift cards.

The redesigned website acts as a supermarket personal assistant of sorts, from providing birthday reminders to tracking flexible spending account purchases to notifying users when their favorite products go on sale. It also lets users create customized shopping lists that filter allergens and other ingredients they don’t want in their foods.

The lists can be emailed, printed or sent to a mobile phone.

In addition, the site lets users:
• Purchase, check balances and reload Hannaford gift cards.
• Make an online charitable donation for programs Hannaford supports.
• Choose items as “favorites,” and Hannaford will notify them when they’re in season, on sale, or have a special promotion.
• Add family birthdays with notes on each person’s favorite foods. An e-mail reminder will be sent two weeks prior to help with meal and party planning.
• Keep track of all their Hannaford purchases by entering in a code on their store receipts.
