DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee Food Stores has launched a lawn and garden partnership with a local television station. "Hy-Vee Get Growing," broadcast on KCCI-TV on Fridays at 5 p.m. and Saturdays at 8 a.m., stars Hy-Vee's own Jerry Kluver, who has years of greenhouse and nursery experience.

Kluver answers consumer questions about lawn and garden care, such as the best time to plant grass seed and how to plant a potted tulip.

"Have a lawn and garden question that has you stumped?" Hy-Vee asks in promotional materials. "Each week Jerry will answer questions on-air."

Consumers can submit their questions via a new website. Videos of each televised segment also can be viewed on the site.
