SCHENECTADY N.Y. — In honor of Memorial Day, Price Chopper Supermarkets will donate a portion of proceeds from a special floral arrangement to the Honor Flight Network.

Each red, white and blue "Honor Flight" bouquet sells for $8.

The Honor Flight Network is an organization that brings U.S. Veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the national memorials in their honor.

"Say, ‘Thank You for Your Service’ to every veteran you know,” Price Chopper states in promotional materials.

The retailer is promoting the bouquet in its circular and through its Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Price Chopper asked its Facebook fans to comment on who they will be remembering on Memorial Day. The post received dozens of comments.

“We love to hear about our veterans,” Price Chopper responded. “We all know someone who has served in our armed forces. Keep the stories coming.”
