ST. LOUIS — Schnuck Markets here has enhanced its consumer website with the same content found on the Recipe Center kiosk located in 30 of its stores. The online feature and in-store kiosk, both branded as Schnucks Cooks, are provided by ShopToCook, Buffalo, N.Y.

The site allows consumers to browse through recipes presented as “Recipe of the Week” or “Most Popular Recipe Categories,” as well as create shopping lists, save favorite recipes, and write reviews.

“It makes grocery shopping interactive before the consumer comes to the store,” said Larry Maggio, director of marketing services for the chain of 105 supermarkets, in a statement. “If shoppers see a recipe they like online, they can find the ingredients easier and faster when shopping in the store because they know what they are looking for beforehand.”
