KEASBEY, N.J. — ShopRite supermarkets, independently owned stores that are part of the Wakefern cooperative here, are making their weekly specials available to shoppers via a free Apple iPhone and iTouch Application called ShopRite Weekly Specials.

The application, developed with MyWebGrocer, Colchester, Vt., enables consumers to see what's on sale in real time at their regular ShopRite store; they can add those items to their shopping list, which is organized by category with pictures, descriptions and prices. The application can also sync with customers' shopping lists at ShopRite.com.

"We're deeply committed to our customers, and their lives are headed more and more digital every day," said Cheryl Williams, ShopRite's senior vice president of marketing. "This new App not only helps our customers save money, but more important, it makes their lives a little bit easier."
