Brookshire Grocery Co. was certified as a Great Place to Work, a global authority on workplace culture, employee experience and the leadership behaviors. The methodology is based on validated employee feedback.

“We are very excited to be Great Place to Work-Certified™,” said Brad Brookshire, Chairman and CEO for Brookshire Grocery Co. “We make the employee experience a priority, and it means a lot that our employees have reported a consistently positive experience with their coworkers, leaders, roles and BGC. This is important to us because we know that when employees have a high-trust and positive experience with their employer, they provide similarly exceptional experiences for customers.”

Brookshire’s also recently announced it was extending its pandemic-based hero pay into November at a time when many other retailers have let the bonus lapse. The Tyler, Texas-based retailer has given its employees more than $21 million since the pandemic began in March through a comprehensive gift and incentive package which includes bonus checks, gift cards, wage increases for those on the front lines in retail and logistics and a compensation plan for those directly affected by COVID-19.
