Clear Springs Foods Adds Three Additional Facilities

Clear Springs Foods, Inc., an employee owned, vertically integrated food company, has taken possession and operational control of three additional facilities within the past few months. This includes two trout raising facilities in Southern Idaho, which are adjacent to current operations, and a brood operation to hatch trout eggs near MacKay, Idaho in the north central portion of the State. "We are pleased to take operational control and possession of these three facilities which will increase our production significantly and allow us to provide additional fresh and frozen rainbow trout to our customers," says Larry Cope, Executive Chairman, president and CEO. "Protecting our pristine, spring water resource has been a primary focus for many years. The possession and operational control of two of these properties is the result of diligent water mitigation negotiation efforts over the past several years. "One of the facilities is immediately operational while two of the other facilities will be renovated and brought up to Clear Springs’ standards within 12 to 18 months.
