Dole and Standard Fruit Company Recognized by Costa Rican-American Chamber of Commerce

The Costa Rican–American Chamber of Commerce has recognized Standard Fruit Company de Costa Rica S.A., a division of Dole Food Company in Costa Rica, for Excellence in Labor Relations for the company’s contribution to the community through its workforce relations programs. The award was presented recently to Raúl Martinez, managing director of Standard Fruit Company de Costa Rica S.A, by the vice president of the Republic of Costa Rica Luis Liberman. The prize distinguishes Dole and Standard Fruit’s record of providing state-of-the-art Health and Safety programs for employees, preventing workplace discrimination, ensuring equal opportunities and promoting diversity. In particular, the Vice President noted Dole and Standard Fruit’s efforts to improve the standard of living for employees and their families. “This award encourages us to continue our efforts and commitment to corporate responsibility and employee relations.
