PRICE CHOPPER PROMOTES BOUCHER TO VP, OPERATIONS

He will also serve as the new-store opening coordinator, work with the marketing ad development teams, and lead corporate continuous development initiatives for the chain.

BROOKSHIRE NAMES SKELTON VP, RETAIL OPERATIONS

TYLER, Texas -- Brookshire Grocery Co. here named Johnny Skelton senior vice president-director of retail operations. He succeeds Ronnie Horton, who died about two months ago. Prior to his promotion, Skelton was senior vice president-director of perishable operations. Before that, he served in a variety of positions for the company since joining in 1966, including vice president of retail meat/deli sales, director of retail meat sales, market supervisor, market manager, assistant market manager and meatcutter.

MINYARD PROMOTES LEE, SMITH TO VP POSITIONS

COPPELL, Texas -- Minyard Food Stores here promoted Rodney Lee to vice president of loss prevention and Joe Pat Smith to vice president of Sack 'n Save Warehouse Food Stores. Prior to his promotion, Lee was director of loss prevention. Smith served as director of Sack 'n Save Warehouse Food Stores previously. Both vice president positions had been vacant for some time.

FORMER SUPERMARKET CFO PLUMLEY JOINS CHECKERS

TAMPA, Fla. -- Checkers Drive-In Restaurants here last week said it named Patric Plumley senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of the quick-service burger chain. Plumley left last year as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Eagle Food Centers, Milan, Ill., and then served from January to September this year as senior vice president and chief financial officer of Fresh Brands, Sheboygan, Wis.
