GO VEGGIE revealed that all five of its vegan cream cheese alternatives have received verification from the Non-GMO Project. GO VEGGIE Vegan Cream Cheese alternatives are available in three flavors: Classic Plain, Chive & Garlic and Strawberry. GO VEGGIE Vegan Spread & Dip Minis are available in two flavors: Classic Plain and Chive & Garlic. New packaging featuring the Non-GMO Project Verification seal will begin appearing on grocery store shelves nationwide in December 2016. This is the first step in an ongoing process through which the company intends to achieve Non-GMO Project Verification for all of its products.

"We are thrilled that GO VEGGIE is the first cream cheese alternative to receive Non-GMO Project Verification," says Allison Houle, marketing manager at Galaxy Nutritional Foods. "By creating the cheese alternatives category over 40 years ago, we helped start the movement toward better-for-you products. Although our cream cheese alternatives have always been made with non-GMO ingredients, this third-party verification provides the transparency in sourcing that today's educated consumers expect from the brands they choose and trust," she continues. "Because clean ingredients are an integral part of our GO VEGGIE brand strategy, verification from the Non-GMO Project underscores our commitment to this standard of excellence. With October being Non-GMO Month, this couldn't have come at a better time."

The Non-GMO Project offers North America's most trusted third-party verification for non-GMO food and products, and is committed to preserving and building sources of non-GMO products, educating consumers, and providing verified non-GMO choices.
