Nathan's Famous will be  surprising unsuspecting fans and performing random acts of kindness across the nation throughout 2016 as the brand celebrates its 100th anniversary. On Sunday, prior to the start of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 race, Sonoma, Calif., native Sheana Davis was recognized as one of Nathan's Famous "Ultimate Fans."

Davis recently posted on the Nathan's Famous Facebook page about her love of auto-racing and Nathan's Famous hot dogs. A chef and cheesemaker by trade, Davis shared the menu details for her tailgate at the raceway, highlighted by bacon-wrapped Nathan's Famous hot dogs topped with homemade pickles, some of her finest cheeses and served on a toasted bun.

Nathan's Famous invited Davis and her guests to enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of Sonoma Raceway, the racetrack that hosts the Toyota/Save Mart 350, and meet American Icon and NASCAR Hall of Famer, Richard Petty.

Representatives from Richard Petty Motorsports greeted Davis and escorted her and her guests to the garage area to meet the racing legend. Petty took photos with and signed autographs for the group. The surprises began when Petty presented Davis with a $1,000 Save Mart gift card, Nathan's Famous apparel and finally, free Nathan's Famous hot dogs for one year.

"Sheana is a huge racing fan and, as a chef, understands the importance of a perfect blend of spices like the ones we use in the secret recipe of a Nathan's Famous hot dog," says Wayne Norbitz, executive board member and 26-year president of Nathan's Famous. "We're so thankful to be celebrating our 100th anniversary with fans like Sheana and, thanks to our friends at Save Mart, she now has plenty of opportunities to create the perfect recipe for any tailgate!"

Sunday's activities were a part of Nathan's Famous' national "Ultimate Fan Nation" campaign. Special offers will be available for fans via NathansFamous.com, and the company's Facebook and Twitter pages. Nathan's Famous will also feature members of its "Ultimate Fan Nation" on its social media channels.

Highlights of the Nathan's Famous 100th anniversary celebration included a special 5-Cent Hot Dog promotion over Memorial Day Weekend, the upcoming Nathan's Famous International Fourth of July Hot Dog-Eating Contest in Coney Island, and a special event based in New York City in early September. Fans can now have their Ticket to Fun punched as part of an online, summer-rewards program featuring games, prizes and exclusive branded merchandise, by visiting NathansTicketToFun.com.
