BURBANK, Calif. -- As part of its first foray into the distribution of Japanese animation, also known as anime, Disney's video subsidiary, Buena Vista Home Video, will release 13 episodes from the popular television show "Sailor Moon."
The four-tape gift set, "Sailor Moon: The Doom Tree," will be released on April 22 from DIC Toon-Time Video, with a suggested retail price of $49.99. Each episode has a running time of about 22 minutes, with a total of about 4 hours 45 minutes for the set.
Three other "Sailor Moon" titles have been recently released by Buena Vista and DIC Toon-Time: "A Moon Star is Born," "Scouts Unite" and "Evil Eyes." Each has a suggested retail price of $12.99.
