Program Pushes Recycling
Recycled Paperboard Alliance here has launched a new marketing campaign designed to educate and reward consumers for buying 100% recycled paperboard packaged products.
The initiative educates consumers nationwide about how to identify the recycled products by looking for the Alliance's new symbol (chasing arrows along with the words 100% Recycled Paperboard). In-store special events and a reward program will offer gifts to consumers who purchase the products.
The program will kick off in late fall at an estimated 5,000 supermarkets nationwide.
Management Company Formed
SEDRO-WOOLLEY, Wash. -- Cascadian Farm here and Fantastic Foods, Petaluma, Calif., will now be managed by the newly formed Small Planet Foods. Both companies will remain in their current locations.
The parent company of all three is Shamrock Holdings, Burbank, Calif.
An office of the president has been created for Small Planet Foods, and will include Gene Kahn, president and chief executive officer of Cascadian; Jim Rosen, chairman of Fantastic Foods; and two Shamrock executives.
