North Shore Sales & Marketing, Inc. has new additions to its team. As of May 2012 Gerard “Gerry” Watts has been brought on as Chief Operating Officer/General Manager and Serena Leiterman was promoted to the position of Marketing/Brand Manager. In addition, David Coronado joined North Shore Greenhouses, Inc. as Production Manager in April 2012. North Shore Greenhouses, Inc. is the entity responsible for the growing of North Shore Living Herbs and North Shore Sales and Marketing, Inc. brings the product to market.  logo in a gray background | Gerry has more than 30 years of National and International experience in Fresh Produce and the Processed Food and Beverage Industries. He has been associated with companies such as Calavo Growers Inc, as vice president of North American Operations and vice president/general manager of Calavo de Mexico; Maui Land and Pineapple Company, as vice president/general manager of Maui Pineapple Company; and most recently as president of SunOpta Inc., Fruit Group Division. Gerry is considered a Sales Champion, Change Agent, Product Advocate and a Market Leader in division operations, turnaround solutions, optimal quality assurance and organizational development with the ultimate goal of maintaining a consumer-facing market presence, say company officials.  logo in a gray background | Serena was hired at North Shore Sales & Marketing, Inc. approximately 2 years ago as Executive Assistant to Suzette Overgaag, vice president and CFO. She has successfully lead marketing initiatives that have helped elevate the North Shore Living Herbs brand, including the launch of their newly redesigned website, social media presence and new trade show booth which was recognized by PMA as the Winner of Best of Show - Best Inline Booth at the 2011 PMA Fresh Summit. She recently received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Western Governors University.  logo in a gray background | David Coronado has been associated with companies such as Eurofresh Farms, Windset Farms and Sunco LTD. He brings with him specialized knowledge of hydroponic greenhouse growing, production management, food safety and security and product research and development. David earned his Bachelor’s Degree from University of Arizona in Agriculture Technology and Management in 2001. North Shore is an American family farm for modern times. These new team members will continue the tradition of quality, innovation and commitment to sustainable agricultural practices.
