West Coast produce industry members from across the supply chain will have the opportunity to connect and participate in an interactive program designed to illustrate the magnitude of social media’s impact on the fresh produce landscape, both personally and professionally, and the correlating opportunity to drive success during Produce Marketing Association’s (PMA) Fresh Connections: Yakima event on Sept. 19. Media members are invited to attend with a complimentary media pass. This day-long session, led by emerging media expert and tMedia Strategies CEO Carisa Miklusak, recognizes that the ability to integrate social media solutions into existing fresh produce business practices is critical to a produce company’s daily business. Participants can expect Miklusak to take them beyond branding to gain a foundational knowledge of how technology and emerging media affect the fresh produce landscape, the resulting business opportunities and tactical applications for effective social media use. The workshop will comprise a keynote, case studies, best practices and tactical tools for practical implementation that will give industry attendees — and your readers or viewers — tips and strategies they can implement immediately. Event details follow:

Event Date: Sept. 19 Event Time: 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Event Location: Yakima Valley Museum, 2105 Tieton Drive, Yakima, WA 98902
