Safeway CSDs Renamed Refreshe

Safeway has extended its Refreshe private-label brand into the carbonated soft drink category.

PLEASANTON, Calif. — Safeway has extended its Refreshe private-label brand into the carbonated soft drink category.

Along with updating the packaging for its Safeway Refreshe bottled water, Safeway has introduced Refreshe CSDs.

“If you’re a fan of our Refreshe bottled drinking water, then hold on to your hat,” according to the Safeway blog. “Just in time for the dog days of summer, Refreshe is currently showing up on your store shelves in a whole new look and with some new company.”

Refreshe carbonated soft drinks are available in lemon-lime, cola, zero-calorie cola and other flavors.

The new brand is on currently on sale for $1.88 per 12-pack of 12-ounce cans, or 2 for $1 per 2-liter bottle, with loyalty card. Refreshe water is currently on sale for $2.99 per 24-pack of 16.9-ounce bottles.
