Yummy.com has launched a mobile-friendly website to enhance the customer experience. In addition to becoming more intuitive and simpler, much like the Yummy.com service, the site will reduce the time it takes to place an order. “We already know that our service is much faster than a trip to the grocery store, but with the new site, we expect to help customers save even more time,” says Barnaby Montgomery, co-founder and CEO of Yummy.com.  “During our usability testing, we found that the average time it took to place an order was about 7 minutes, which is 35% faster than the old site.” In addition, the site features a responsive design optimized for mobile users on tablets and smartphones. Other enhancements include:

  • The option to select immediate delivery in about 30 minutes or to schedule an order at the customer’s convenience;

  • Enhanced search, sorting and images;

  • A dedicated tab for on-sale items; and

  • The estimated delivery time for an order featured on the home page

In January, the company opened a new store in Los Angeles and announced plans to break ground on its sixth fulfillment location in Century City later this year. In addition, the company announced sales growth of 21% in 2014 and the completion of its 2,000,000th order. By the end of 2015, Yummy.com expects to fulfill in excess of 30,000 online orders each month. As a fully-integrated multi-channel grocery retailer, Yummy.com fulfills online orders in about 30 minutes; giving customers the ability to receive delivery of their online order in less time than a trip to the store. With nearly 30 years of combined experience in the online retail, grocery and fulfillment categories, Yummy.com’s executives have proven expertise developing innovative online fulfillment systems and brands, including Yummy.com, HomeGrocer.com and PDQuick. CEO, Barnaby  Montgomery, and COO, Arthur Zonneveld founded Yummy.com in 2002 with a vision to bring the convenience of on-demand delivery to the consumer grocery experience. Central to this vision, was the understanding that sustainable competitive advantage requires the development of a proprietary operating system to fulfill online orders more profitably, more reliably and at higher volume than competing strategies. Yummy.com is the holding company for the Company’s intellectual property, including its proprietary order management system and brand assets, including Yummy.com.
