Winsight Grocery Business has hired veteran journalist Timothy Inklebarger as its newest editor, the trade publication announced Wednesday.

Inklebarger, who brings with him more than two decades of journalism experience, will focus his work at WGB on the swiftly evolving grocery technology segment.

Inklebarger most recently served as the managing editor of Chicago-based Agent Publishing, a trade publication covering the real estate business. Before that, he was a reporter for nearly six years for Wednesday Journal. He has also worked for Crain Communications and the Associated Press.

"I'm so excited to get started at Winsight Grocery Business,” he said. “I've covered a wide variety of topics in my career for a number of publications, and I am looking forward to bringing that experience to the new role and helping to grow WGB's readership."

Inklebarger joins an editorial team at WGB that includes Editor-in-Chief Heather Lalley, Executive Editor Russell Redman, Editor Diane Adam and Digital Design Specialist Kimberly Pellikan.

“We are delighted to have Tim join this group of talented reporters and digital designers,” Lalley said. “And we are thrilled to be boosting our coverage of grocery technology, a key growth area in the industry right now.”
