BJ’s Wholesale Club has introduced PayPal payment in its latest enhancement for online customers.

The warehouse club chain said Monday that it has integrated the PayPal and PayPal Credit services, which enable BJ's members shopping on BJs.com to pay for their entire virtual cart seamlessly and securely, without having to enter card credentials.

Another new checkout option is PayPal One Touch. Providing an automatic login, PayPal One Touch allows BJs.com customers using the same device and browser to pay for their items without having to enter an email address or password.

In addition, BJ’s members can use PayPal Credit for online purchases of $99 or more and not get charged interest if their balance is paid in full in six months.

"We're committed to making shopping easier and more convenient for our members, which is why we're excited to partner with PayPal," said Rafeh Masood, senior vice president and chief digital officer at BJ's. "With PayPal, members now have even more payment options when shopping on BJs.com, saving time and money."

BJ’s has been busy stepping up its online services in recent months.

In May, the Westborough, Mass.-based retailer expanded mobile deli ordering to 21 clubs in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The pilot program enables members to select deli meats and cheeses — as well as the desired thickness — and place an order with their designated club. All orders are ready within 20 minutes.

Also that month, BJ’s launched a click-and-collect service called “Shop BJs.com – Pick Up in Club,” which allows customers to make purchases from a selection of thousands of items on BJs.com and choose to pick up their orders in as soon as two hours from any of BJ’s 215 warehouse clubs in 16 states.

BJ’s, too, expanded its Add-to-Card Coupons functionality to orders placed via BJs.com and the Shop BJs.com – Pick Up in Club service, and a makeover of its website was designed to give customers a more user-friendly, personalized shopping experience. Those enhancements came a week after BJ’s added a new “swipe right” shopping tool to its mobile app. The discover function enables shoppers to explore new products and swipe right on their mobile device screen to add to a wish list.

And in March, BJ’s extended same-day delivery of groceries and other products through Instacart to all of its warehouse clubs.
