SpartanNash celebrates five years in the Fast Lane
Anniversary promotion brings online grocery shoppers special deals, donations and prizes
July 11, 2022
SpartanNash is offering online customers special deals as its Fast Lane e-grocery shopping service commemorates its fifth anniversary.
Running through July 19, the online-only promotion includes savings on selected summer items such as meat, potato chips and strawberries for home delivery and curbside pickup orders. Shoppers also get 20% off SpartanNash’s Our Family private-label products and discounted gas.
Fast Lane customers, too, will have the opportunity to win a 2022 Sea-Doo Spark Trixx jet ski. In addition, SpartanNash said it will donate 20% of all proceeds from purchases during the anniversary promotion to a local nonprofit organization.
“Fast Lane is part of an ongoing effort to stay ahead of evolving consumer shopping preferences, whether in-store or through curbside pickup or delivery,” Amy McClellan, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of SpartanNash, said in a statement. “This anniversary celebration is our way of thanking those who have participated in Fast Lane throughout the years, but also welcoming new members who may want to try it for the first time.”
Launched in 2017, the Fast Lane service employs GPS-location technology, lets customers clip digital coupons instantly, and readies orders in as few as two hours, SpartanNash noted. Fast Lane customers can pay a minimal fee per order or buy a $49 subscription that includes free, unlimited curbside pickup, half off delivery, exclusive monthly bonus savings on products across the store, and extra fuel savings.
Last year, SpartanNash announced a number of incentives for Fast Lane users. For example, in June 2021, the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based grocery distributor/retailer expanded the benefits to Fast Lane subscribers, including a monthly bonus savings that served up discounts across store departments, while in February 2021 Fast Lane customers got free delivery.
Fast Lane is currently offered selected Family Fare locations and all D&W Fresh Market, Family Fresh Market, VG’s Grocery, Dan’s Supermarket, Forest Hills Foods and Ada Fresh Market locations.
Overall, SpartanNash operates 148 grocery stores in Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin under the banners D&W Fresh Market, Dan’s Supermarket, Family Fare, Family Fresh Market, Forest Hills Foods, Martin’s Super Markets, No Frills Supermarkets, SunMart, Supermercado Nuestra Familia and VG’s Grocery.
