Kehe Readies New Distribution Center Near Phoenix

Kehe Distributors, a leading wholesaler in natural and organic foods, said it would open a new distribution center in Goodyear, Ariz., bringing 270 new jobs to the Phoenix area and better positioning it to deliver fresh foods, organic and specialty products to retail customers in the Southwest.

Kehe, based in Naperville, Ill., counts Sprouts Farmers Market and Albertsons and Safeway stores among its key customers. The new center, which measures about 500,000 square feet, is Kehe’s 16th in the U.S.

“KeHE is committed to serving its partners and bettering the communities in which we do business,” Chris Sieburg, EVP of warehouse operations at Kehe, said in a release. “We chose Goodyear to expand our footprint due to its prime location. This will allow us to better serve Kehe’s key retail partners, such as Sprouts Farmers Market and Albertsons/Safeway; bringing Kehe’s expansive natural, organic, specialty, and fresh product portfolio to the Arizona and Las Vegas markets. The addition of the new facility will allow us to further our extensive growth plans, while maintaining and enhancing the level of service our retailers expect and deserve.”

Kehe said the new facility is now seeking workers for positions in operations, sales, merchandising, warehouse management, and administration.

The new distribution center will host several hiring opportunities, including a job fair on Oct. 13-14 at 10950 W. Northview Avenue in Glendale, Ariz.
