Southern California retailer Barons Market carries about 1,000 gluten-free products.
The five-store natural/organic retailer initially integrated gluten-free products with their mainstream counterparts. In response to customer requests, however, it switched to a segregated assortment.
Several times a year, Barons holds a special gluten-free food panel meeting that includes customers who evaluate new gluten-free products.
Here’s a look at the gluten-free department and other features of its newly opened store in Alpine, Calif.
