Natural Grocers hires fitness author Greenfield as brand ambassador

Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage has signed a sponsorship agreement with bestselling author and fitness influencer Ben Greenfield, who will promote the company's "good4u revolution" program.

has signed a sponsorship agreement with bestselling author and fitness influencer Ben Greenfield, who will promote the company's "good4u revolution" program.

Greenfield, author of "Beyond Training" has been recognized as a top fitness trainer and among the industry's most influential figures, the Lakewood, Colo.-based retailer said. Greenfield will be "powered by Natural Grocers" and appear at store openings and events, provide recipes and content for the company website and "Health Hotline" publications, appear in advertisements and do social media promotions.

"When I sat down with the nutrition education team here at Natural Grocers to brainstorm who would be a great brand ambassador for us, Ben Greenfield was the unanimous top choice for the team," Heather Isely, Natural Grocers' EVP, said in a statement. "We're educating America about nutrition and Ben Greenfield is a terrific brand ambassador to help us spread the good4u Revolution."

"There's a genuine need right now for honest, science-backed information about how we can feel healthier and have more energy each day," added Greenfield. "Natural Grocers is leading the charge towards serving this need and I'm excited to help share the message and get more people living the good4u lifestyle."

Greenfield will make his first appearances at the grand openings of Natural Grocers' two Gilbert, Arizona stores July 12. He will present a class titled "Shattering Fat Loss & Diet Myths," at both locations.
