Oliver’s Markets has created a line of prepared meals with lean proteins, low carbohydrates, no added salt and whole grains, that contain less than 400 calories.

Dubbed Oliver’s Fit Friendly Foods, the meals range from taqueria fajitas to seasonal soups and will incorporate seasonal and local ingredients whenever possible.

“Our current home meal replacement program is one of the signature items from our kitchens. This line extension, which services a whole new customer with fresh nutritious food that is delicious and microwave ready, is revolutionary in supermarkets,” Tom Scott, Oliver’s VP/general manager, said in a press release.

The three-store, Santa Rosa, Calif.-based retailer plans to being selling Fit Friendly Foods Sept. 3.
