LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Affiliated Foods Southwest, a cooperative wholesaler based here, has named John R. Mills chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer, succeeding Jerry Davis, who died late last month. In April as part of a management realignment, Mills was promoted to president, chief administrative officer and vice chairman of the board along with G. Wayne Hall, who was promoted to president and chief operations officer. Mills, a 20-year veteran of Affiliated, joined the company in 1985 as a controller.

LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- D'Agostino Supermarkets here said it had promoted David D'Agostino to vice president of store operations, succeeding Peter Nero, who is scheduled to retire this week after 47 years with the company. D'Agostino most recently was director of online operations at the 22-store chain, which is owned by the D'Agostino family. He joined the company in 1995 and previously held store-level management posts. He is the son of Nick D'Agostino Jr., chairman and chief executive officer, and the brother of Nick D'Agostino III, who oversees day-to-day operations as vice president of corporate administration. Nero began his career at the company as a part-time cashier and delivery person in 1959, and held a variety of management positions before being named vice president of store operations in 1988.
