Former Schnucks’ exec Dave Peacock named CEO of Advantage Solutions
He will lead the publicly traded company, which provides sales and marketing solutions for retailers and CPGs.
Dave Peacock, the former president and COO of Schnuck Markets, has been named CEO of Advantage Solutions, the company announced this week.
Peacock will also serve on the board of the company, which provides outsourced sales and marketing services to retailers and consumer packaged goods manufacturers. He starts work on Feb. 1.
Peacock brings with him more than 30 years of retail and CPG experience, including four years as chief operating officer and president at Schnucks and two decades at Anheuser-Busch, where he served as president for three years.
“Advantage is fortunate to have such an accomplished leader join as chief executive officer,” Advantage Solutions Executive Chair Tanya Domier said in a statement. “Dave has a long history of mission-driven, people-focused leadership and is known for delivering outstanding results.”
Peacock takes over for Jill Griffin, who worked for the company for nearly 15 years. She resigned to “pursue other business endeavors,” the company said.
Advantage Solutions also named Chris Baldwin to its board. Baldwin currently serves as chairman of the board of directors of BJ’s Wholesale Club and is an executive committee member at the National Retail Federation.
Irvine, California-based Advantage Solutions was founded in 1987 and went public in October 2020. The company’s clients include Ahold Delhaize, Albertsons, H-E-B, Meijer and many others. The firm is known for its data- and tech-driven services including retail merchandising, in-store and online sampling, digital commerce, omnichannel marketing, retail media and more.
“I learned firsthand during the pandemic just how unimportant I was as president of a grocery chain, but how critical our baggers, checkers, stockers and clerks were to our customers,” Peacock said in a letter to Advantage Solutions employees. “It was this experience that codified my belief that a good leader supports the team that actually makes things happen for clients and customers.”
