The remodeled Walmart Supercenter in Dallas, Ga., reopened Sept. 13 and it marked the debut of the new Walmart Health center. By partnering with local providers, the new center offers services ranging from primary care, labs, X-ray and electrocardiogram (EKG) to counseling, dental, optical and hearing. The center also provides nutritional services and fitness along with health insurance education and enrollment.

The center is housed within the supercenter but has a separate entrance for customers. The clinic offers low, transparent pricing for its services, regardless of the customers’ insurance coverage. Customers are given an estimate of the costs they will incur at the time they book their appointment.

“The customer is at the heart of everything we do, and that focus is reflected in the new Walmart Health center. This state-of-the-art facility will provide quality, affordable and accessible healthcare for members of the Dallas, Ga., community so they can get the right care at the right time, right in their hometown,” says Sean Slovenski, SVP and president of Walmart U.S. Health and Wellness.

Humans won’t be the only ones treated in the Dallas store. The remodel also includes an Essentials PetCare clinic, which provides routine pet vaccinations, microchipping and lab work. Service fees are kept low with vaccinations beginning at $25 and no office visit fee is charged. The first Essentials PetCare facility opened in 2016. Walmart’s pharmacies stock the 30 most requested pet medications to make getting pet prescriptions filled as easy as filling the human ones.

The pharmacy in the Dallas store integrated feedback from customers to meet their needs for convenience, simplicity and service.
