Winsight Grocery Business is excited to announce the addition of Jeniece Drake, an experienced journalist and educator, to its team in the role of editor.

Drake is a born and raised Chicagoan with more than 20 years of editing and writing experience. She has covered "everything Chicago"—from prominent Chicago individuals and organizations to impactful city and community issues. Prior to joining Winsight, she was an educator in Chicago for 15 years, teaching reading and writing across multiple grade levels.

Drake holds a bachelor's degree in journalism/mass communications from Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio, and a master’s in education and social policy from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. 

In her new role, Drake will cover leading grocery retailers, including Albertsons Cos., Aldi, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, as well as the fresh department and organic/specialty/wellness concepts. 

As the newest member of the dedicated WGB team, Drake said, "I am looking forward to providing quality editorial content that is relevant and informative." (In addition, as a self-professed french-fry expert, Drake said she is happy to share her top french-fry recommendations.)
