GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — D&W Fresh Market has launched a temporary online ordering service for wine and beer.

The catalog, which went live Oct. 31 and will remain in service through Nov. 7, offers 20%-40% discounts on over 300 varieties of wine and beer.

The purpose of the first-ever online catalog is to make it easier for attendees of the D&W’s annual food and wine show, called “Food, Wine and All that Jazz,” to place orders. However, anyone can place an order, even those who don’t attend the event.

Shoppers order online, then pick up their orders at the D&W Fresh Market location of their choosing, and pay when they pick up, Ron Cox, Spartan Stores’ director of consumer marketing, told SN. D&W is a Spartan banner.

The catalog groups wines into dozens of categories, including Michigan wines, “warm winter” whites, and “California sleepers.” Beers from microbrewies like New Holland Brewery and Bell’s Brewery are featured as well.

Along with beer and wine, “Food, Wine and All That Jazz” included food and live jazz music. This year’s event was held Oct. 30 at the Public Museum in Grand Rapids. D&W sponsored the event with WGVU television.
