NGA Promotes Three

The National Grocers Association has promoted three members of its staff to new positions.

ARLINGTON, Va. — The National Grocers Association on Wednesday said it had promoted three members of its staff to new positions.

Greg Ferrara was named vice president of government affairs. He had been director of government affairs since he returned to NGA in December of 2008 after leaving for a brief stint at Associated Grocers of Baton Rouge, La.

Jessica Harper has been promoted to director of industry affairs. Her responsibilities include collaborative opportunities through trading partner initiatives, engagement opportunities, operational programs and services and technology standards development. Before joining NGA, Harper spent 3-1/2 years with the Grocery Manufacturers Association in the membership and meeting services departments.

Debbie Etter has been promoted to manager, Expo sales, with responsibility for managing sales and activities related to the Expo floor at the NGA Show as well as assisting with membership and sponsorship/advertising opportunities. Etter, a 10-year NGA veteran, will continue to cultivate relationships with current and potential exhibitors, while collecting and maintaining content for the NGA mobile app and printed Buyers' Guide.

"In various capacities, these individuals have distinguished themselves in their dedication and quality of service to NGA, our members and the independent grocery industry as a whole."
