ShopRite Cashiers Graduate From Program

KEASBEY, N.J. — Wakefern Food Corp. here announced Thursday on its ShopRite Facebook page that it is graduating its 50th class from a ShopRite cashier training program in Delaware.

KEASBEY, N.J. — Wakefern Food Corp. here announced Thursday on its ShopRite Facebook page that it is graduating its 50th class from a ShopRite cashier training program in Delaware.

The program is a partnership established in 2006 between Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County, Wilmington, Del., Kenny Family ShopRites of Delaware (owners of four area ShopRite stores) and Wakefern; it has trained and placed more than 350 individuals to date at the Kenny ShopRites, the announcement said.

Goodwill added that has been providing job training and placement programs to people with barriers to employment for more than 80 years.

Wakefern has worked on similar programs with ABO Haven, Philadelphia and New Community Corp., Newark, N.J.
