The new icon appeared on the chain's Feb. 23 sales flier and on its newly renamed website, sunflowermarkets.com. In addition to adding the new logo to interior and exterior signage at all 32 stores, the company also plans to include it on its private-label line as part of its previously reported private-label packaging redesign.

"While the iconic sunflower and the familiar blue and yellow colors keep the logo recognizable to customers, the refreshed logo is fitting for a company whose future is very bright," said Chris Sherrell, chief executive officer, in a prepared release.
