Just BARE, a brand of natural, antibiotic-free chicken, announced today its launch of the Goodness for Gardens donation program, an initiative that supports the Just BARE mission of Raising goodness by recognizing outstanding community garden programs focused on youth development throughout the United States. As part of the Goodness for Gardens donation program, Just BARE will donate a minimum of $1,000 to eight community gardens, with the opportunity for each one to earn up to $5,000 through consumer participation. “Just BARE proudly advocates for a healthier future with the launch of the Goodness for Gardens donation program,” says Rory Bidinger, brand advocacy and marketing manager of the Just BARE brand, based in St. Cloud, Minn. “We have established meaningful relationships with a number of Minnesota community gardens and want to expand our support to similar community garden programs throughout the country that are positively impacting the next generation.” Community gardens selected for the Goodness for Gardens donation program include: Chicago Botanic Garden’s Windy City Harvest in Chicago, Illinois Food Works Farm in Portland, Oregon Junior Farm Crew in St. Louis, Missouri Promise of Peace Community Gardens in Dallas, Texas Roots for the Home Team in Minneapolis, Minnesota Sprout: The Des Moines Youth Learning Garden in Des Moines, Iowa Troy Kids’ Garden – a project of Community GroundWorks in Madison, Wisconsin Wasatch Community Gardens in Salt Lake City, Utah   How Goodness for Gardens Works From July 15 through September 22, 2015, community garden programs have the opportunity to earn points that ultimately lead to a monetary donation from Just BARE, and garden supporters can also be rewarded for their participation. To participate, consumers and garden supporters can visit www.JustBareGives.com, where they register and enter a unique code found on specially marked packages of Just BARE chicken. With each code entered, consumers are eligible to enter a random drawing to receive one of 50 FitBit Flex™ wireless activity trackers, designed to record steps, distance, calories burned and sleep quality in support of a healthy lifestyle. Participants then have the option to receive additional sweepstakes entries by completing four different online activities, such as entering additional codes, interacting with Just BARE’s The Good Plate hub, taking an online poll, or entering a Just BARE “Trace My Chicken” traceability code. For each activity completed, the entrant’s selected community garden will receive one point, which will help the community garden advance toward a maximum donation of $5,000. The Just BARE brand embraces the value of giving back and contributes to causes that build stronger communities. By striving to provide good food for more people, Just BARE is one step closer to raising goodness.
