The entry deadline is looming for BrandSpark International’s Best New Product Awards (BNPA), which honor new products in food and beverage, health and personal care, household and beauty. Hundreds of thousands of consumers have voted for America’s best new products, and hundreds of products have leveraged their wins to drive sales over the award’s 15 years of operation.

“With thousands of new products introduced each year, it can be challenging for shoppers to choose the best options,” said Robert Levy, president and CEO of BrandSpark International and BNPA founder. “The program helps shoppers make better purchase decisions by knowing the winning products are voted by consumers." Levy said the winners receive national multichannel PR coverage, the Best New Product Award seal and “the ultimate bragging rights.”

Levy cites three reasons why new products can benefit with from the Best New Product Awards:

Winning a Best New Product Award increases your chance of staying on shelf.

BrandSpark International research shows that 87% of consumers are more likely to purchase a product that has won an award. Entering and winning a consumer-voted Best New Product Award is social validation that your product is superior.

“The Best New Product Awards logo was tested for its ability to influence consumers to purchase a product and the results were resounding,” said Levy, noting that when tested against seven other consumer goods awards, “the Best New Product Awards yellow check-mark logo had the highest purchase influence on consumers.”

Promoting your win in the omnichannel world helps brands stand out.

When A/B tested in digital advertising, Levy said the Best New Product Award "was proven to increase sales and impression by a minimum 6%-10%. In a noisy marketplace, promoting your award win online, out of home, and everywhere in between will help your product stand out."

Eligible products for the 2019 program must have launched nationally after Jan. 1, 2018. The final deadline to enter products is Sept. 28.
