Publix Super Markets is on track to open its first Louisville store this year, and the grocery chain is hosting multiple in-person hiring events for all positions at the store.

The grocer has yet to say when its first Kentucky store will open, but the retailer is hosting hiring events on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 pm. at the Embassy Suites Louisville East at 9940 Corporate Campus Drive, with additional events in November.

They are as follows:

  • Oct. 19-20: Learn about jobs in the deli and other departments

  • Nov. 3-4: Learn about jobs in the deli, bakery, meat, produce, grocery and others

  • Nov. 17-18: Learn about entry level customer service, produce and other jobs

In July, Publix launched an introductory website for its future Kentuckian shoppers. The “Hello, Kentucky” website sends shoppers updates on future Publix product offerings, grand opening specials, and promotions.

The employee-owned retailer has other planned locations in Kentucky, including two more stores planned for Louisville and two planned for Lexington.
