A public health notice has been issued by the Public Health Agency of Canada after a Listeria outbreak has left two dead and several hospitalized, reports Toronto.com.

Plant-based refrigerated beverages from Silk and Great Value brands are believed to be behind the outbreak and have been recalled.

The illnesses have occurred in Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia.

According to Toronto.com, Walmart has confirmed it sold some of the recalled products. Sobeys, FreshCo, IGA, Foodland, Safeway, and Thrifty Foods also may have sold the drinks.

Loblaw Companies Limited has also said the products were sold at its Ontario banner stores, which include Real Canadian Superstore, Fortinos, Loblaws, Valu-Mart, Your Independent Grocer, Zehrs, No Frills, Wholesale Club, and Shoppers Drug Mart.
