Walmart recalls almost 10K cases of apple juice

And the FDA elevates it to a Class II

Walmart is dealing with a voluntary product recall involving almost 10,000 cases of apple juice that were distributed to locations in 25 states.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration elevated the recall on Aug. 22 to a Class II because the Great Value brand juice contains inorganic arsenic above the industry’s guidance level, which is 13.2 ppb. A Class II recall means the product may temporarily cause adverse health consequences but is unlikely to cause serious or irreversible medical issues.

Refresco Beverages initiated the voluntary recall on Aug. 15 on the 8-ounce Great Value apple juice six pack with a best used date of Dec. 28, 2024.
