NEW YORK — Target Corp. will face additional charges that it violated labor law during the run-up to a failed union vote at its Valley Stream, N.Y. store last year, federal officials said.
The charges are part of a newly issued complaint alleging that Target officials interrogated workers and threatened to close the store if a union vote was successful. The charges are in addition to other claims previously made by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1500, which sought to organize workers at the store in a union vote last June.
A hearing on the matter is scheduled for Feb. 1. Target officials have maintained they violated no laws.
