Safeway seeks buyers for property development division: Report
Safeway, Pleasanton, Calif., is reportedly seeking to sell its shopping center development business. According to published reports, the company — which is in the process of being acquired by Albertsons, Boise, Idaho — has hired Eastdil Secured, a real-estate investment services company operated by Wells Fargo, to find a buyer for Property Development Associates.

Mrs. Green's to reinstate fired workers
Mrs. Green’s said Wednesday that the company would reinstate eight workers who were let go in the aftermath of a controversial union vote at its Mount Kisco, N.Y., store. Supervalu commences Rainbow conversions
Supervalu has begun the transition of 18 Twin Cities area Rainbow stores acquired by the wholesaler and its independent customers from Roundy’s Supermarkets earlier this year.
