SAN ANTONIO — H.E. Butt Grocery Co. here is now offering customers H-E-B prepaid cell phones and calling minutes. The supermarket began testing the concept in Rio Grande Valley, Texas, two months ago and has since rolled it out to most of its stores, except those in Houston, according to a report from the San Antonio Express News last week. The rollout will be extended to Houston as well. Cell phone packages ranging from $20 to $100 include unlimited nights and weekends on a nationwide Sprint PCS network that is offered through Austin-based Fusion Mobile. The phones, which cost between $50 and $90, and related services are branded by H-E-B.
