Weis Markets this month opened a new prototype designed to take its service to a new level.

Known as the Community Market design, the Enola, Pa. store debuts a number of features including an in-store pub, ice cream shop and food court.

“Our Enola store has a customer-focused design that puts a premium on value, quality and variety. In this store, we do more in-store prep work — cutting and juicing to order fruit and vegetables, hand rolling sushi, baking artisanal breads and cutting meat in-store,” Kurt Schertle, COO of Weis, told SN.
