Jet.com, an online division of Walmart Stores, on Monday said it had officially launched its first private label line, an assortment of groceries and other consumables under the Uniquely J line.
Uniquely J includes more than 50 SKUs in the coffee, cleaning, laundry, pantry, paper and food storage categories.
“We’re excited to introduce Uniquely J to consumers, confident that they’ll embrace the products and soon begin to consider them essential to their day-to-day shopping,” said Liza Landsman, president of Jet.com. “Uniquely J is not just Jet.com’s entry into the private brands space, it also furthers our efforts to serve the metropolitan consumer with a select assortment of premium products while also offering them a great shopping experience.”
The products in the line feature the attributes that Jet.com’s customers are seeking, including cleaning products made with plant-based ingredients, organic and Fair Trade Certified coffee beans and food storage bags made from BPA-free plastics.
In its annual meeting with analysts earlier this month, Walmart said it is positioning Jet.com to be geared toward “the more affluent, higher-income, urban Millennial customer.”
In addition to 13 SKUs of coffee, food products in the line include 11 SKUs of sauces and oils, such as Uniquely J Organic Sriracha sauce, priced at $4.49 for a 16-ounce bottle, and Uniquely J Organic Teriyaki Sauce, $3.49 for a 14-ounce bottle.
In addition to cleaning products such as laundry detergent and plastic storage bags, nonfood items also include paper towels, toilet paper and napkins.
The products also feature decorative packaging designed by artists from around the world.
“Each product offers the trifecta of quality, style and value,” said Dan Hooker, general manager, private brands, Jet.com and Walmart ecommerce.
The company said it expects to add more products to the line in the coming months “and continuously over time.”
