ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Coborn’s Inc. on Friday said Mark Coborn would retire from his role as executive vice president in the coming weeks.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Coborn’s Inc. on Friday said Mark Coborn would retire from his role as executive vice president in the coming weeks. He will continue to serve as a member of the retailer’s board of directors.

Coborn’s has not named a successor for Mark Coborn’s role. Business operations will continue as usual, the company said.

“As a fellow fourth generation family member of Coborn’s, I sincerely appreciate the years of service that Mark has given to us,” said Chris Coborn, the company’s president and chief executive officer. “He has always championed doing what is best for our employees. I am thankful that he will still serve in his role on the Board of Directors, where he will continue to advocate for reinvestment and growth. We wish Mark all the best as he begins this new chapter in his life.”

Mark Coborn began his career with Coborn's at age 13 in 1975 cleaning the parking lot at the Coborn’s store in Sauk Rapids, Minn. From there, he progressed through roles of increasing responsibility, including training director, human resources director, and vice president of human resources.
