GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Spartan Stores here said on Friday that it had completed the previously announced acquisition of 20 supermarkets from G&R Felpausch, Hastings, Mich. The $38.5 million deal, which converts an existing wholesale customer into a company-operated retailer, is expected to add $100 million to Spartan’s top line. “These additional stores also solidify our leading market share position in west Michigan, while expanding our presence in central Michigan,” said Craig Sturken, chairman, president and chief executive officer, Spartan.
